[DOCUMENT] Attributable to LEMPEREUR - The "Big Three". - Lot 218
[DOCUMENT] Attributable to LEMPEREUR - The "Big Three". 7 x 13.7 cm. Embossed on cardboard. Unsigned advertising project for the trio formed by Gus Deloof, Harry Turf and Rudy Bruder performing at the Victory Club, rue de Stassart. A handwritten note on the reverse indicates that this was the "ancestor of Pol's Jazz Club" (Ixelles). This advertisement appeared in "Voilà" during the Occupation. Peter De Greef had left his position at the magazine, and was succeeded by his friend Lempereur. Lempereur's graphic style was quite similar to De Greef's. I would like to thank Mr. Christian Van Den Broecke for his help. Rare project. Attached, 1 program from the Gus Deloof - Tohama tour.
