DESTRILHES - Confidences on Turkey. Second edition, revised and expanded. Paris, E. Dentu, 1855. In-8, black half-basane, paper plates, spine with four pearled nerves (scratches). [4], xli, 252, [1], [1], [1 bl.] pp. According to the publisher, "the first edition of 'Confidences on Turkey' was aimed at a special audience, initiated to the events of the day. It had to be sold at a fixed time. Therefore, it should be considered only as a "proof" of the more complete and typographically better revised work, which is the subject of the second edition." We could not find any trace of this first edition. Sporadic freckling, pale ring of wetness affecting the upper margin at the end. JOINT: - Antoine-Barthélemy CLOT dit CLOT-BEY - Overview of Egypt.
