The numbers 254 to 260 propose a very nice set of gouaches and watercolors from these Parisian workshops. They combine a great finesse of execution both in the choice of motifs and in the choice of colors. This selection covers the post-war period. Clément KONS (Mulhouse, 1879 - Paris, 1956), naturalized in 1928, established himself in Paris at that time as a "draftsman for printing on fabrics" at 17, rue Saint Fiacre in the 2nd district. He is listed in the Industrial Directory, under the activity of "Drawings of all kinds for printing on fabrics, silk and cotton. In 1931, his company was transferred to 70 rue de l'Aqueduc in the 10th arrondissement, and the Annuaire Général de l'Industrie et du Commerce mentioned his activity as "Designer for prints on fabrics". Charmaguey, of whom we could not find the trace, probably collaborated with Kons or succeeded him as testifies a project which carries their seal or joint mark.
