Amédée LYNEN (1852-1938) - 7 original signed drawings, projects, 3 autograph bills... 1905-1920. - 5 drawings after nature, black pencil, colored pencils and watercolor, of which: 3 under matting: 2 on watermarked laid paper (18 x 20.5 cm and 20.5 x 16.5 cm), 1 on tinted vellum (18 x 25.5 cm), signed lower right "Am. Lynen", the first one undated but with the mention "Luxembourg", the 2 others dated respectively 1905 and 1911. Subjects: a well in an alley (or a monastery?) in Luxembourg with a figure in ecclesiastical costume; interior view of a stable and exterior view of the facade of a building with a columned portal. - View of a farm. 18 x 24 cm. Signed lower left, dated 1915. Some small stains. - Portrait of a woman. 14,5 x 14,5 cm. Signed lower left and dated 1920. ENCLOSED, BY THE SAME: - Illustration for a menu project. 1921. 27 x 20 cm, pen and ink, on puff paper. Mannequin with military costume and artillery piece in foreground, guests at banquet table with waiters in background. - A family on vacation. S.d. 24 x 19 cm, on tinted paper, pen and ink. Under matting. Stitches. Picturesque scene with two children playing boat with a hoof floating in a basin, mom sitting on a bench and dad perched on a stepladder with a spyglass.... - Scene in a Spanish inn in the 17th century. S.l., 1917. Lithograph heightened with watercolor, 13 x 16 cm, signed and dated lower right, under mat, glass and gilded wood frame. Minimal marginal spotting, wetness at the bottom of the mat. - An artist painting a country landscape. S.l.n.d. Watercolor etching, 11 x 17.5 cm, signed lower right, pasted in full on board. - View of the countryside (Grimbergen according to a ms. note) with peasant woman. 11,5 x 18 cm, signed lower right, under conservation mat. - 3 autographed bills, 2 to Reding and 1 to Walthers (?). 1902-1905. Concerns a.o. "Le Diable au Corps", congratulations for a cross of the Legion of Honor... - 35 lithogr. plates in colors or in photo-engraving published by "Le Musée du Livre" of which 27 after Amédée Lynen (. Bruxelles, c. 1909-1923. In-4, some in publisher's folder, with serpents. Subjects: book trades, views of old Brussels (qqs pl. by other artists: Raymond Xhardez, Luigi Loir), illustrations for "La légende d'Ulenspiegel" by Ch. De Coster, "Les villes à pignons" by É. Verhaeren. Qqs pl. in several copies. - Set of press clippings, magazine issues (Touring Club, L'Illustration belge, etc.) about A.
