"Salutations, dont d'angéliques" is the second book of the trilogy started with "Dominical". "Salutations" plunged Max Elskamp into new doubts because the collection received only a mixed reception in France. As a result, he wrote to Emile Van de Velde with this joke: "What a good thing it would be to be from a country of one's own, even Belgium, if it existed". Boutade, boutade and half, specifies Robert Guiette (Seghers, Poètes d'aujourd'hui, p. 57). Like many other works of Max Elskamp, this one, fruit of a collaboration with Henry van de Velde, dedicates the friendship which binds the two men since the age of 15 years, at the athenaeum of Antwerp, and which will moreover never be denied. De Sadeleer, 5.
