Auguste HOLVOET / P. LEBROCQUY - Biographical sketches of the principal civil and military officials of Belgium as well as of all the native originals who deserve to be remembered. Brussels, Auguste Holvoet, 1839. 2 works bound in 1 small volume in-12, 145 x 87 mm, half brown basane, spine with four beaded bands, gilt title on the spine. [2], xxxv, 147 pp. In this little pamphlet, whose title alone evokes a whole program, the Bruges writer shows an exacerbated causticity towards certain contemporary notables. The preface suggests a continuation of 2 other volumes which did not appear. The present volume focuses on personalities from East Flanders. BOUND IN THE SUITE: - P. LEBROCQUY - Souvenirs of an ex-journalist (1820-1841). Brussels, Jules Géruzet, 1842. viii, 139 pp.
