[DRAWING] After Jacques II de GHEYN - Emblem with tondo figure showing Cupid and a stag with an arrow piercing its heart, with Latin motto: "Vulnus alit Fera laesa fugâ, sic tu licet usque / Tela Dei fugias, non tamen effugies". Early 17th century. Pen and brown ink enhanced with watercolor, +/- 13 x 16 cm, laid paper, unsigned. Slight soiling, mostly marginal. In a modern glass frame (not unframed). After an engraving by J. de Gheyn (1565-1629) for Daniel Heinsius' "Quaeris quid sit Amor" (ca. 1601).
