This first edition represents a genealogical work of significant importance, intended for the young prince Balthasar-Charles, son of Philip IV. It presents itself as a memorial to the antiquity of his lineage, and offers a series of examples to follow. The first part of the book consists of twenty-two genealogical tables, accompanied by a series of engravings integrated into the pagination. These engravings reproduce over six hundred seals or counter-seals of the princes mentioned in the text, identified by an asterisk. In addition, a plate illustrates the coats of arms appearing on the seals of the House of Flanders, with the exception of those appearing on the seals of the counts. The second part of the book is devoted to evidence. REF. BB V-801/802. SET OF 2 VOLUMES, WORKING COPIES.
