Copperplate engraving, 43 x 57 cm (basin), 44 x 58 cm (view), mounted under passe-partout. Slightly browned, rare spotting. Withdrawal of this goose game on the theme of universal geography, engraved by Cochin and, for the text, by Le Febvre. It consists of 43 squares arranged in an oval spiral ending in the center of the game with a world map featuring an allegorical figure bearing the arms of the dedicatee, the Marquis de Sourches. The squares are decorated with allegorical figures for each continent, featuring a couple - often with child - for the different peoples represented, starting with the Americas, then Africa and Asia, and ending with Europe, with the last squares featuring the Germans, the Dutch, the Flemish and finally the French. Game rules engraved in the corners.
