Le Fou parle. Art and humor magazine. Bimonthly. N° 1 [-29/3 - Lot 435
Le Fou parle. Art and humor magazine. Bimonthly. N° 1 [-29/30]. Paris, April-May 1977 - November 1984. 30 issues in 28 vol. in-4°. Stapled. Complete collection. Founded in 1977 by Jacques Vallet (1939-2004), a writer and journalist close to libertarian circles, with Philippe Ferrand and Albert Meister, Le Fou parle was a free-spirited, often provocative art and humor magazine. Winner of the Grand Prix de l'Humour noir (1979), it combined writing and graphics in an inventive layout, tackling without taboo the most controversial themes (prison, sexuality, money, old age...). Supported for a time by Topor, Rezvani and André Balland, the magazine gathered over six hundred contributors, including Perec, Derrida, Dubillard, Copi, Tahar Ben Jelloun and Siné. The covers were illustrated by Folon, Topor, Milshtein, Desclozeaux, Arslan, Botero, Fassianos, Zeimert, Sempé, Willem, André François, Reiser and Ronald Searle, among others. A true collective adventure, Le Fou parle remains one of the most emblematic and audacious titles of the 1970-1980 cultural press.
