L'Immédiate. Quarterly magazine. Edited by Anne-Marie Christ - Lot 441
L'Immédiate. Quarterly magazine. Edited by Anne-Marie Christin. N° 1 [-13] Paris, 1974-1977. 13 issues in 12 in-4° volumes. Paperback. The first issue incomplete and without the lower cover. Attached is a double copy of the 13th issue. L'Immédiate was founded and directed by Anne-Marie Christin (1942-2014), semiologist and historian of writing, founder of the Centre d'étude de l'écriture et de l'image at Paris VII. Published quarterly, the magazine proposed an original dialogue between poetry, photography, calligraphy, page layout and typographic experimentation. It sought to transcend the boundaries between text and image, "seeing" and "reading", turning the page into a veritable plastic space. Each issue brought together artists, poets, visual artists and typographers. Among the contributors were Pierre Garnier, Michel Butor, Christian Dotremont, Roland Barthes, Michel Deguy and Jean-François Bory.
