Blanche DELACROIX, BARONNE DE VAUGHAN - Identity card of the Baroness of Vaughan, issued by the French State on 10 February 1943.
The card, with her photograph, was broken in two and glued to two pieces of grey cardboard, which were themselves placed in small corners attached to a white sheet of paper.
On the same sheet, the driving licence of the interested party with her photograph, issued in 1936. Also slipped into the corners. Black ink stains.
JOINTS, many documents, including:
- Leopold II. 4 satirical postcards and a card with a pasted picture.
- ALEXANDRE - The Baroness of Vaughan and her two children in a horse-drawn carriage. Cliché (112 x 150 mm) applied on strong cardboard, bearing the words "Alexandre - Bruxelles/ 14, Place du Musée/ and 79, Montagne de la Cour". Stamped with the coat of arms of Belgium in the centre of the lower margin. Marginal freckles.
- Lucien DURRIEUX - 3 l.a.s. addressed to Count Carton de Wiart.
- Lucien DURRIEUX - L.a.s. addressed to the Prince Regent. Combo-les-Bains, Villa Saint-Jean, 2 August 1949. A page in-4.
About a painting sold to Mr. Meeus, residing avenue de Tervueren in Brussels.
- J. E. DE PAEPE - 2 autograph letters signed to Madame, Mr. Durieux (my Dear Princes). Rouen and Saint-Quentin, 26/12/1960 and 1/1/1962. 2 pages in-4.
Warm letters of greetings tinged with patriotism and royalism. The first one bears this P.S. "Si feu S. Mr. Leopold II saw what happened to his great and beautiful work, in the Congo, he would lose his legendary splendid white beard."
- Philippe DURRIEUX. Mortuary image of Philippe Durrieux, one of the two sons of Blanche de Vaughan, who died on April 21, 1914, in his 7th year. (Tear).
